Making a Christmas Wish List is very hard for me... I really struggle with the materialism of the Christmas season. Obviously I am a lover of pretty things as documented by my love affair with all things Kate Spade... & yes, I love to gift myself items throughout the year when inclined. However, I am extremely uncomfortable when receiving gifts & have to really guard myself against it (& other contributors) stealing my joy during the holiday season - it's a struggle I almost always lose.
I do love that in today's world we can purchase lovely things for ourselves while also benefiting others who are less fortunate. I am equally as excited about the cause behind these two gifts as I would be to receive the goody myself on Christmas morning.
Most folks know that for every pair of Tom's sold, a pair will be given to a child in need. While the Magazine Bead Necklace helps the women of the Karamojong tribe maintain sustainable income for their families in Uganda.

I also added two of these long sleeve V-Neck's from Old Navy which have became my favorite staple for being a new mom - so easy to dress up with jewels or down with Toms.

Chelsea & I have seen this tee shirt twice while shopping together & neither time did they have either of our sizes or they would have been bought immediately. This verse is near & dear to our hearts because it resides on our Daddy's tombstone while also representing Auburn University's battle cry, War Eagle!

And... I have already professed my love & wonderment over this Kate Spade Prize Ball.

Aaron & I really struggled with what to get Prater & if we should get her anything at all... I mean come on, she is an infant who doesn't need anything. Plus, we really want to teach Prater that there is a difference between a need & a want, that Christmas isn't a free-for-all to ask for ridiculous amounts of toys, & that there are children all over the world who would love to simply be blessed with a family that loves them, food, & a cozy home. Nonetheless, we definitely felt that we wanted to get her three small gifts for her first Christmas - three gifts, just like Jesus received from the Wise Men. Its a tradition that we hope to stick to with Prater Ellis. I was practically giddy that I was able to snag all of her gifts at a discount & with cash back rewards!

I love all things magnolia, obviously, & have wanted a magnolia headband for her to wear in some of her professional, baby plan photos with the talented Amber Ellis. This headband is exactly what I had envisioned - I love it!

Like my sister & Daddy, Prater is obsessed with the TV... although I try my hardest to not let her "watch" any, sometimes I just need the "assistance" it offers for a few minutes... we thought at the very least, she could be watching something substantial instead of Law & Order: SVU. Insert Veggie Tales - I really think she is going to enjoy this DVD!

And, I have really wanted to get her a pair of boots for this winter but have not wanted to spend much because obviously that is just ridiculous when they grow so fast... then I had trouble finding ones small enough for her tiny feet - these fit the bill, literally! I cannot wait to see her sport these cuties!

I'm craving some Toms sunglasses--I can't function without my shades, and they give a pair of eyeglasses for every pair sold. Love Toms!
